Michelle Hernandez, President
Ms. Hernandez oversees leasing, marketing, billing, legal matters, construction and general tenant services for buildings managed by Monarch. Ms. Hernandez has achieved an impressive track record specializing in investment real estate. Since Monarch’s inception in January 2003, Monarch’s properties have experienced little to no vacancy.
Prior to founding Monarch Property Management, Ms. Hernandez served as the property manager and administrator for Glenn Building Services, a property management and janitorial services company based in Pasadena. At Glenn Building Services Ms. Hernandez served as the off-site manager for the company's residential and commercial buildings and also supervised construction details on rehabilitation projects. Ms. Hernandez holds a California Real Estate License and a certification in Interior Design from UCLA.
Christian M. Heger, Founder
Prior to founding Monarch Property Management, Mr. Heger served as the primary manager for the properties owned by Cardinal Real Estate Investments, LLC.
Mr. Heger is involved in every facet of both Monarch Property Management and Cardinal Real Estate Investments. Mr. Heger manages all daily operations including deal sourcing, acquisitions, financing, construction, and accounting, including overseeing property management of the individual assets from acquisition through stabilization or disposition.
Prior to founding Cardinal Investments, Mr. Heger worked for Salem Partners LLC, a boutique investment bank in Santa Monica, California. While at Salem Partners, he participated in various types of transactions in the entertainment and technology industries including mergers and acquisitions, private equity placements, asset valuations and more. Prior thereto, Mr. Heger graduated, Cum Laude, from the University of Southern California, earning a B.S. in Business Administration. At USC, Mr. Heger participated in the undergraduate honors curriculum and focused on the study of finance and business economics. Mr. Heger holds a California Real Estate License.
Kyle A. Ransford, Founder
Mr. Ransford provides strategic guidance and operational support for Monarch Property Management, including guiding monthly company meetings, outlining annual goals, and shaping overall company direction.
Prior to founding Monarch Property Management and Cardinal Real Estate Investments, Mr. Ransford co-founded Ki2 (The Korean Internet Incubator) in January 2000, a Seoul, Korea–based technology investment fund and incubator. Mr. Ransford facilitated investments in that firm by Microsoft, as well as the Families of LG International and Samsung. The company became a public company with a peak market cap of $750 million.
Through Powerscourt Partners, he has represented numerous buyers and sellers of companies in the $20-$70 million range.
Mr. Ransford formerly worked for Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he participated in various mergers and acquisitions including the international US$1 Billion sale of non-performing loans for the Korean government agency KAMCO. Mr. Ransford has also provided a variety of financial advisory services for companies in the internet and technology, telecommunications, and basic manufacturing industries.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Ransford was a General Partner and founder of KyMar L.L.C, a real estate investment portfolio that executed 24 transactions and returned 112% to its limited partners. Mr. Ransford earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
